My Doodle to Drawing Board Adventures
70Here is a fun hub – a Part 3 of my Artistic Inspirations series ....Well it started as a fun hub but it got me creating some serious pictures and writings about some real issues we all face today. Here, I basically share with you the journey of my Doodles from Drawing Book to Easel.
Often times have we heard of the creative energy which transpires among many people. Fortunately, artists are able to capture it red-handed before it is gone forever into thin air. And nobody in the world would ever know of that idea by-gone if it was not picked-up in time.
This hub showcases some of my quick sketches, some very rustic once too because some doodles would have been made at very unconventional places....captured on iphone to upload here... sometimes while waiting at a signal light when I am on the wheels, sometimes in church or walking in a park. Best time when these ideas popup on us are when the white noise is in the air (while in the shower or just under a conventional ceiling fan) these ideas are just crackling up like fire crackers bursting in "at seconds" notice. Do you agree?
I have placed my sketches and paintings alongside in this hub for your viewing pleasure. Thank you for taking this trip!
Wanted Poster Series
Strange Inspirations - Started just for laughs
Now this was some fun creative breeze which passed by.
The theme of these posters are "The Wanted Series".
This finished "Chicken Tikka" was the first among the number of jolly-go-lucky sketches as below, the quick scribbles which eventually helped me create a couple of "Wanted" sketches which were inspirational in writing two more articles - the issues I had always wanted to address in years. (you can find one as the last the last shown in this "wanted Series: which is a humor-act to talk about my displeasure with some real-life events. I am grateful to this piece which got me started and made me step into those thoughts with one sketch after another until I stumbled upon some hidden emotions. I am glad that finally it got out some bottled up issues which I needed to address in years. I hope that in the process I am able to help you readers relate to your experiences at some point in your work life too.
The final prints of the painting as displayed below, today hangs in a few public places and are also used at Mardi Gras.
The art prints of this and the subsequent ones below are up for sale in a few popular domains.
Sorry Porky....It's just for laughs!
This one is my favorites and so is it with my well-wishers.
Ah! This poster should appeal to property owners
....who want their bad tenants to leave.
Ideal for Garden Landscaping ;o)
My bad! Mousy!
I am going to give a copy to my dad to hang it in our home-town garden because he sets the mouse traps every evening to trap the bandicoots who keep gnawing at my mom's vegetables in her garden.
All this led to this important Sketch
Thanks to the Chicken Tikka poster.
I am glad I made this one because I was kind of feeling disgruntled about some clients who were evading payments for months. At least it is letting me enjoy the humor in these pictures while I scribbled them up in the midst of the irony.
I can't afford to be in business with them if they are absconding. I wish such posters could help them surface and make my life easier. :o/
Kate's (Prince William's bride) Wedding Gown Countdown
Fashion Inspirations
Prince William and Kate's marriage was a good reason for that weekend for me to doodle up some wedding gowns while watching the count-down to the royal wedding as it I felt it worth joining the media to guess what her wedding gown would be like. I was anyway relaxing on the weekend. This was a good way.
A good reason to work on adding some pieces to my sketch portfolio.
So here are the sketches I made and the final gown Kate landed up wearing. I wonder if it was kind of close. I leave it to my audience to judge. Anyway it was a good experience.
My closest prediction to Kate's Mcqueen Gown
Recessive Recession - Doodles and Art Pieces
Current Affairs
For the past three years, the word "recession" wouldn't go away from newspapers and television headlines and it still is a subject in the fore-front of News. And so does the inks of my pens don't stop letting out the emotions in the air either. Happy viewing!
Current Trends - Migration: Gone are the days when a population as a lot from countries in Asia migrated to work or a better life like Human Tsunamis to the West. With this recession the tsunami of immigrants have reversed and there are millions emigrating to work in places like China, India, Singapore from USA, Canada, Europe etc.
This sketch speaks about that migratory reversal.
Debt Crisis: Some jurisdictions have abopted the practise for years on end to imprison individuals who are unable to repay loans due to reasons beyond their control. Sadly left to perish inside cells without a solution for their plights. Eventually when corporates became enslaved in the same situation, it only created some noise but matters got worse because it became evident to everyone that banks who created a credit economy to save the 70s recession had led everyone to the recession of 2000s creating a domino effect, so much so as to effect whole nations and now the contagion has struck the whole globe. The super powers have had to hand-over their thrown to lesser accustomed leadership of economies and currencies.
The question has finally arisen "Who has enslaved the globe? Where does one go from there? Think think USA, Germany, France or should it be answered finally by the BRIC Nations?
Thanks for taking your time to read my quick hub a wee bit peculiar holding my views and sketches of a few subjects which just popped up while uploading my sketches.
Look forward to coming back with more inspirations sometime soon.

Fascinating... I liked your humorous 'wanted' posters, and also the way you dealt with more serious topics like the recession. Your wedding gown sketches looked like they belong in a real illustrated book. Have you ever thought of illustrating children's stories?
After the wedding gowns, I was kind of useless to the rest of the Hub. I am such a romantic. You could create artwork and sell it in sets. Those gowns would make a stunning presentation on a wall. sigh
Fascinating. It's fun to doodle and to sketch and it's great to share them with others. Found them amusing and thoughtful. It's art, believe me.
Hi Rembrandz :)
You are a good and entertaining artist and you can translate your thoughts into cartoons. That's quite a talent. Well done :)

Really amazing, you are full of talent. Just tweeted this article. It is funny how writing inspires art and vice versa. Take care and thanks for the inspiration.
